Dave is a highly experienced publishing and editorial consultant specializing in STM (Scientific, Technical, and Medical) journals with a focus on publishing technology, including system and workflow optimization and migration.
He began his publishing career in 2000, eventually leading the program for the American Society for Bone and Mineral Research as Director of Publications. His expertise broadened as he took on editorial leadership roles at CIG Media Group, followed by a seven-year tenure as a Publisher for Elsevier, where he specialized in oncology and radiology, managing a portfolio of 12 journals.
In 2018, Dave joined Origin Editorial, where he provided strategic consulting and journal management for major scientific societies, including the American Association of Thoracic
Surgery, the American Heart Association, and Cochrane. In 2021, he spearheaded the proposal to oversee the PCORI-funded external peer review process and served as the Editorial Director for the project. Dave founded A&M Editorial Solutions with Meghan McDevitt in 2024.
Dave leverages extensive experience in project, people, and budget management, with a proven track record of developing and implementing new initiatives and publishing technologies, optimizing workflows, and collaborating effectively with clients, sponsors, governing boards, and society leaders. Dave is an active member and speaker with the International Society for Managing and Technical Editors (ISMTE) and the Council of Science
Editors (CSE).
Meghan is an experienced editorial office professional and leader in the scholarly publishing industry, bringing expertise in editorial strategy and operational efficiency.
She has experience leading editorial teams, implementing continuous quality improvement initiatives, managing complex Editor-in-Chief and platform transitions, and launching new publications. Meghan is an expert in ensuring journals meet the highest industry best practices.
As a Senior Partner with A&M Editorial Solutions, she leverages this operational experience to provide focused consulting services including publishing technology evaluation, workflow optimization, and large-scale system migrations to ensure publications are managed efficiently and sustainably.
A long-time champion of the field, Meghan served as President of the International Society of Managing and Technical Editors (ISMTE) from 2022–2023 and is an active member of ISMTE, CSE, and EASE.
